
Adult Literacy Program
Tutoring for adults in basic reading and writing.
The Adult Literacy Program offers free one-to-one tutoring services for adults who wish to improve their literacy skills.
Services include support for:
Basic reading and writing skills.
GED (General Education Diploma) test preparation.
Basic computer skills.
Tutoring is customized and confidential.
Learners meet with their volunteer tutor two times per week.
Tutoring is customized and confidential.

Learners meet with their volunteer tutor two times per week.
Learners work on goals with their tutor.
Some of those goals include:
Continuing their education.
Increasing employment opportunities.
Improving parenting skills.
Reading for daily life.
Volunteer tutors work with learners:
In their community.
In a public location.
At a time that fits the learner’s schedule.
