11th Annual Literacy Breakfast a Success! Thank You for your Support!

It is with great appreciation that we acknowledge the participants of this year’s Literacy Breakfast. Selling out 2 weeks before the day of the event not only demonstrates the support of the community, but also foreshadowed the success of the Breakfast.

Special thanks to Nancy Pearl, guest speaker of the Breakfast, for sharing some of  her favorite reads. Here is a list of recommended books from the 10th and 11th Annual Literacy Breakfast. Enjoy!

An esteemed thank you to Tim Ballew II, Chairman of the Lummi Indian Business Council, for his inspiring and engaging words as the MC for the morning.

The original painting auctioned off at the Breakfast was donated by local artist, Ben Mann, and we are grateful for his generous gift to the WLC.

We express our endless gratitude to Village Books for their partnership and continuous encouragement.

We would also like to say thank you to our volunteers and staff for their diligence and hard work.
