Welcome to our new Executive Director Katherine Freimund!

WLC Executive Director Katherine Freimund has an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, a Masters in Public Administration from Suffolk University in Boston, and served in the US Peace Corps in West Africa.  She has over ten years of experience working with nonprofits in Whatcom County, most recently as Director of Administration at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County.  She also serves on the Steering Committee of the Whatcom Council of Nonprofits.  She lives in the Columbia neighborhood with her husband Jeremy and her three boys are students at Washington State University.  Katherine is passionate about literacy, and is excited to join the team at the Whatcom Literacy Council!
